Budapest is the capital of Hungary and its largest city. Buda and Pest are on opposite sides of the Danube, now one city named Budapest.

The history we know of this area starts with the Celts, then Hungarians, then Mongols.

Budapest is ranked as "the world's second best city" by Condé Nast Traveler and also is rated as an excellent place to live as well as a very popular tourist destination. The city has 80 geothermal springs.
